This is an original 1942Dodge WC-51 Weapons Carrier which served in WW II. The body is solid withno filler that I have found. It has the standard Dodge 6-cylinder, 230cubic inch engine and 4 speed manual gearbox. It weighs 5,250 pounds andwas made to tow a 37 or 57mm artillery piece and a crew of 8. The mileage18,641, is what the speedometer reads, but I cannot verify that. It is avery good running vehicle with historical significance. I have the buildcard information and it was built at the Fargo Dodge plant outside of Detroiton September 21, 1942. I've used this for parades, WW II reenactments andto pick-up building materials from Home Depot once in a while. It comes with the plywood drivers compartment doors which are easy to remove. It’s good, dependable runner and always garage kept.
