1981 DeLorean DMC-12 with ~19,000 miles on the odometer.
Very few miles added since the 90's, sitting in either my family's garage or my
own since then. Has moved from BC in the 90's to Alberta, then back to BC a few
years ago. Originally an American car.
Car is largely original, and has received very little
mechanical work over the years. During the recent move to BC (~5 years ago),
the front brake calipers/disks/pads/lines, front hub/wheel bearing were
replaced to pass an out-of-province inspection.
This is a 5-speed manual, grey interior model. Has dealer
insert rear-bumper lettering. Gas flap model. Has rear cargo net, though it is
down in the photos. Windows work. Radiator fans work.
In general, the car starts, runs, drives slowly, drives

Known issues:
- AC does not work, no diagnosis ever performed.
- Headliner missing from driver and passenger side, two
remaining panels are drooping.
- Rear-wheel hum increasing with speed, tires/rear
hub-related likely.
- Tires are ~10 years old.
- Slow engine oil leaks.
- Driver’s door interior handle has split in leather. Parts
available online I believe.
- Driver’s door plastic control trim not fully seated.
- Passenger door vent missing vent insert.
- Light wear on driver’s seat.
- Passenger door interior window felt trim has come lose,
occasionally moves up with passenger window.
- Back side of driver’s seat has retaining screws lose,
panel is free but present.
- Louvers or roof T-panel needs adjustment, requires lifting
louvers slightly during lift to clear stainless T-panel.
- Shocks on louvers are shot, replacements come with
vehicle.
