1973 Datsun 240Z Widebody

9)I have been putting together a 240Z wide body for about 10 years now with the hope of having a nice track day car at the end of this. Well, I have several other projects needing much less work on the front burner and the reality has set in that my track days are numbered.

1)Here's the details on the car:

6)Bought the shell from a good friend, a 110 Red 1973 Datsun 240Z in ORIGINAL FACTORY paint and NO RUST. The shell was stripped of parts and placed a rotisserie. All factory seams were stitch welded for strength and a complete roll cage installed. His plan was to autocross the car. The main cage was built at Rebello by employee Rick many years ago. Previous owner did some work on the cage but he found that he was not able to fit in the car comfortably with a helmet and race suit. Previous owner is 6-2 and 250 plus. He decided to offer the car to me instead of re-doing the cage.

7)I purchased the shell and over the years added parts like the hood, doors, hatch, tail lights and surrounds. The car was transported to my shop for additional work.

6)I also purchased  "C" Production fiberglass flairs similar to ZTrix YZ flairs front and rear since the rear arches had been radiused by PO. The rear flairs are currently riveted on and not bonded.

4)The shock towers are cut for bolt in camber plates and Ground Control camber plates are currently installed. T3 front camber plate top plate.

9)I have a full set of coil overs currently installed. Stock rear suspension is installed and a r200 open rear diff comes with the car.

7)Stock front suspension installed along with a factory steering rack.

5)Aftermarket ST front ARB installed.

9)Period Compomotive 3 piece race wheels in 14" are currently installed with older roller tires.

Aluminum race dash fabricated however a stock factory dash can be included if need be.

Ducted front air dam installed. Rear air dam installed.

Battery box in aluminum comes with the car.

ATL 12 gallon fuel cell (#SP112) installed but not plumbed and has never had fuel in it. Fuel cell enclosure fabricated out of aluminum comes with the car.

Doors currently open and close with factory hardware and latch.

Car currently rolls and steers, no brakes and no powertrain.

I'm sure I'm missing items but that's most of it. Again, the body shell is in amazing condition and this car has never been completed and it has never been on the track or raced. This car has no race history.

Yes, I do have a clear California Title for this car. Contact me via messenger with any questions and I can provide a link with many pictures of the car.

Thanks for looking, Mike
