2008 Buick Lucerne.   V6.  3.6. Two owner car.  My sister in Chicago bought it new, I have had it since June, 2016.  Driven every day.  Whenever my sister buys a new car, I get her old one.  Drives true and straight and has an excellent ride.  If my sister didn’t just buy a new car, I would continue to drive this one.  But I just got her 2019 Impala.

Power Leather Seats, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel,Cruise Control, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Automatic Daytime Running Lights, Rain Sensitive Wipers.  Freezing cold air conditioner. All Windows and options work.  Three keys, two remotes.  No rips or tears in the leather.

Non Smoker's car.   About half the mileage are highway miles. New tires and battery November, 2023.  Maintained on my schedule, see below.   Just passed inspection March, 2024.  Clean title in my possession.  I used to be a mechanic so I maintain all my cars on the following schedule. Brakes and Rotors – Every 40,000 miles whether it needs it or not. By doing that, the brakes always feel good. Starter – Every 60,000 miles whether it need it or not.  By doing that – you never get stuck expectantly one day.  Alternator – Replaced at 120,000 miles. Water pump, hoses and radiator – replaced at 130,000.  Reason: Parts are cheap and the labor is free when you do the work yourself. But breakdowns are inconvenient and expensive.  So I perform scheduled maintain it on a weekend when I have extra time.  And if something happened when my wife was driving, I would never hear the end of it.

This is a “Daily Driver”, meaning I drive it to work and everywhere else (grocery store, appointments and errands) every day.  Not a dealer special who got a car that has been sitting in a garage for two years because the owner died and the kids finally got around to selling it to a dealer who shined up the paint real nice, but the car is a piece of crap.  Just because a car shines like new, does not mean it runs like new.  I drove from San Antonio to Lubbock several times last year.   Drove to Laredo twice last year.  I would not hesitate to drive the car to whatever state you are from. Located in San Antonio, Texas if you want a test drive.

Imperfections: This is a used car, so the paint does not shine like new.  It has a few door dings and light scratches.  1) The service Engine Light has been on since I have owned it.  The code is for pollution control, does not affect drive-ability, 2) The car came with cloth seats.  When I put in leather seats, I had to unplug the wire harness under the seat, This caused the passenger airbag light to come on. When you start the car, the dash says: Service Air Bag (See Picture) Click the button on the dash and the normal dash is displayed (See Picture). 3) Car has a bit of a rough 1-2 shift which has been like that since the day I got it. Its not real major, but if you are real sensitive, you will notice it.  If that is going to bother you, then you don’t want this car. If you look up “life expectancy of a Lucerne” on the internet, the car has a life expectancy of 300,000 miles.

Does NOT smoke, does NOT burn oil from tailpipe.  No major leaks. This is a solid car, but I want buyer to know . . . Its Not New.  Feel free to ask me any questions about it because 1) I think its hard to buy a car on the internet without seeing it and 2) I know every detail about this car.   I will tell you anything you want to know so that you can make an informed purchase.
