1985 Alfa Romeo gtv6.. black exterior with black interior.. a true time capsule… car was owned by one family (Father & son) till 2013 when I bought the car..
Mechanically, car is very strong and has always been well maintained.. engine always starts on first turn of the key.. takes a few minutes for engine to warm up reach idel speed of about 1k.. once fully warmed up, engine will rev smoothly all the way without any hesitation.. brakes have been all done so very responsive without any noises… Steering is tight and tires are 16” 205/50/16 on OZ wheels providing plenty of grip… original clutch was dual disc set up and has been updated in the last few thousand miles with Milano style single disc providing nice progressive feel… car pedals is perfectly set up for easy toe & heel… center support bearing was beginning to get weak so entire driveshaft was overhauled with all new donuts and center support and bearing.. Even the early shifter rattle was rectified using Performatek rebuild kit.. T belt which was changed before I got the car remains supple and water pump doesn’t leak.. front spindle noise was rectified using Milano style.. exhaust sounds glorious using Stebro middle and Ansa rear section..
Probably the best part is the Interior which is true time capsule and consistent with its low mileage.. dashboard has almost no cracks after 40 years… seats remain pristine.. even the steering wheel and rubber for the pedals remain pristine confirming the low mileage on this car…
Exterior is extremely clean without any sign of major accidents .. some panels have been repainted over the years… Absolutely no rust or past repairs for rust has ever been done on the car.. All the usual rust sites including front wheel well, chassis, floor pan, jackpoints, rear hatch areas are completely pristine.
Recent works (last few hundred miles include complete driveshaft donuts and center support and restore isotactic shifted using Performatek rebuild kit, oil and brake fluids) (last few thousand miles include replace original double disk clutch with Milano style single disc clutch, front & rear brake pad and rotor, replace front spindle with Milano style, Koni shocks in the front, new OEM Spica shocks in the rear, original exhaust has been replaced with Stebro middle section and Ansa rear section) wheels are 16” OZ wheels with newish 205/50/16 Z rated Nexen tires.
