Rare 1929 Whippet Coach Rat Rod

This has been a ground – up rebuild project! Runs and drives, ready to roll and or to take to next level.

Original frame has been boxed and reinforced, new crossmembers and all supporting parts. Frame and floor pans have an Eastwood rust inhibitor coating.

New Crate 350 VORTEX motor when installed (.010 - .010crank, 1 piece main, comp. 274 extreme energy cam, block decked and squared)Turbo 400 auto trans (fully rebuilt when installed) Lokar auto shifter, Camaro posi  rear end (10 bolt, new seals and bearings when installed), new Quick fuel 750 CFM carb w/electric choke, MSD street performance ignition. New custom duel exhaust system with lake style headers.

New front I-beam split wishbone suspension (speedway), Rear RideTech air bags and compressor (single controller)

4 wheel disk brakes, all new hubs, rotors, calipers brackets (Speedway kit) with Fab Quest brake booster and Master cyl. This is not a power brake booster, but stops just great like old manual brakes.

New 2 row alum radiator, separate trans cooler. Stays cool in the Texas summer days.

20 circuit Painless wiring fuse box, all new wires and connectors. Gel cell 12v battery w/ cut off switch. All lights work, engine wiring is cloth braded wires to give that old original look. fold away reverse light that works on a remote switch.

Speedway tilt steering column with blinkers and flashers, Vega steering box.

Omega speedo and gage set (custom housing), push button start with remote battery shut off.

EZ cool insulation front to back.

All oak wood inside has been replicated and replaced, all new 11ga steel floor plates.

Body has been chopped 6”, tilting front windshield, no other glass in car. Side window channels are there and regulators all work if you want to add flat glass. All doors work, latch and lock. Roof has been custom made with sun roof opening and vinyl snap on cover. 1929 TX license plate (not original to this car)

This car frame and body was purchased by me in 2015, and after rebuild it now has  1125 (as of today) miles on it.

I have done all the work myself and have the receipts for all items mentioned above( let’s not add up the cost of all them please)  I am retiring and ready to move on to other hobbies and ready to let someone else take this to the next level or enjoy it as it is. I don’t drive it much anymore and Cletus deserves a new home. I have 2 extra rear tires and some other parts if interested and can work out that cost when purchased. Transport and or shipping will be all your responsibility. Clear title and is currently licensed and insured in Texas.
