From the estate of my good friend, one 1927 series 36 4dr sedan. This is the more expensive Pierce Arrow with the 138" wheelbase.
The car was purchased in the late 70's from St. Paul's School for Boys located in Brooklandville, Maryland. I went with him to look at
 the car.
Before he moved to SoCal in 1982 he sold the car to his brother. Several years later he bought the car back and had it transported to southern California.
After its arrival the car was repainted in its present colors. All the bright work was re-plated in either nickel or chrome. It has always been stored inside.
The car will run but hasn't been run in about 23 years. However, the motor still turns over. As a mechanic and long time friend of his, I did just this month, test that the motor still turns. To prevent any possible lower end damage and cylinder wall scoring I overfilled the crankcase to coat the crank and rod journals. The spark plugs were removed and mystery oil poured into the cylinder bore and allowed to sit for three days.
The odometer shows 51,000 miles and is probably correct.
I am looking for the cowl lights. Not sure where they are at this time.
Found the cowl lights or at least part of them . One old original and two that have been reproduced. I will look for the other old one as it may have the reflector and socket as the one pictured. The chrome pieces are for the mounting stanchion and have to be mounted to the new cowl lamp housings. The mounting stanchions are square and the chrome pieces fit perfectly.
Also have some of the original tools and jack. The wrenches have the Pierce name engraved in the casting. The jack is a Morrison # 2 and has the Pierce tag riveted on the jack casting.

SERIAL NUMBER ON SEAT TAG MATCHES NUMBER ON THE TOP RIGHT REAR OF BLOCK.

I installed a new battery and the engine turned over with no trouble.
Interior is usable but would need to be re-upholstered for show quality. There are a pair of jump seats behind the front seat.
New photos have been added.
The right rear window glass is cracked.
Car was appraised in March 2022 at $35,000 if it was running and interior as is.
Fuel system should be cleaned and an electric fuel pump installed for ease in starting. I purchased a new 6 volt fuel pump and filter for the new owner to install.
Great car for someone to "tinker" with and enjoy owning.
Asking $27,000. I have clear title and estate paperwork ready for the sale.
The last four photos were taken during the striping and repainting process.

IF PAYMENT IS MADE BY CHECK, CAR WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL CHECK HAS CLEARED. MAY BE UP TO TWO WEEKS ACCORDING TO SOME BANKS AND CREDIT UNIONS.
