This is a 2005 Scion xA that I purchased from a former partner who didn't think it was manly enough 2 weeks after he bought it new.

I painted a giant octopus on it and It became my daily. I had lots of fun times in it, which I occasionally documented in my comic The Devil’s Panties.

It's been from Miami to Toronto, Indianapolis to Dallas, Portland to Vancouver, and many parts in between.

However all good things must come to an end, and for me it was when the stealership quoted me 3k in repairs.

Most of it seemed overblown, and wouldn’t be a problem puttering around town, but if I was going to keep putting obnoxious amounts of miles on it (I’ve been eyeing conventions in Canada and Boise) I would have to get it all fixed.

So, here’s your chance to own a piece of webcomic memorabilia that also happens to be a somewhat functional car.

Here are the somewhat functions:

Modifications:

-Injen cold air intake

-Exhaust installed as a dealer option (poorly)

-Copious amounts of paint and bumper stickers

Problems:

- It was in a front-end collision 15 years ago and professionally repaired. Only lasting weirdness is that the heater switch doesn’t go all the way(there’s youtube on how to fix this, I never bothered) and the rear window sprayer doesn’t work.

- Dealer claims all the control arms are cracked, but it’s likely from the photos they meant the bushings are cracked.

- Small ingress of water, don’t know where it comes from, but after a rain the windows can get foggy

- Water pump has small leak. I’ve never had to top it off, never had it overheat.

- Sway bar end links worn out

So yeah, it runs, it drives, I’ve never had any problems with it, but at over 230k miles, consider this a quirky collectible you can finish driving into the ground on my behalf.

Happy bidding!

P.S The stickers, magnets, and paint stay, but I’ll be removing The Devil’s Panties logo on the bumper

P.P.S. Feel free to add your own paint. Send pictures!
