EXTERIOR: First of all, I have to give a shout out to the good looks! I love the rare optional scooped hood, louvered 1/4 windows and the tail end that slopes down to an aerodynamic finish. The body is extra clean, straight and fits right. Repainted a slick black that has been polished like a mirror. Of course, there are a few minor imperfections. The GT striping really makes it pop! The grills, taillights, weatherstrips, emblems all look great. The bumpers have been rechromed and the rub strips are in excellent shape. The stance, oh boy they got it right on the money! The wheels too, they are staggered size Ridlers. 18s in front, 20s in back and they are nice and wide. They are wearing performance Nitto tires.
INTERIOR: I just sat in the car and was very impressed, it is truly unabused. All the bits and pieces were excellent: the console, dash pad, gauges, pillars, formula wheel, etc. Of course the carpet, headliner and upholstery were excellent because they were replaced. The door panels were mint too. It has a lot of nice features including bucket seats, rally gauges, formula wheel, power windows, power trunk and my favorite is the factory 4-speed! It also has a stereo system including tweeters, 6x9s and 2 amplifiers. Inside the glovebox was the pouch with the manuals and registrations showing the owner history.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very clean, proper, and tidy. It features factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. At the center of it all is the original VIN number matching 400 motor. It was rebuilt 6,000 miles ago and has an Edelbrock intake with a dua 720 Street Brawler carb, Pertronix ignition and a set of ceramic coated headers. Every component looks fresh and properly installed. It is complete with fan shroud, overflow bottle, washers are hooked up, a/c is serviced etc.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Pristine metal inside which looks to have original spatter paint in excellent shape. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted slick. Reproduction weatherstrip and sticker. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and is securely mounted.
UNDERSIDE: The suspension has been rebuilt front and back and the perfect stance was dialed in. In back it has an upgraded swaybar, boxed control arms and air shocks. Great sounding fat custom exhaust with X-Pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and splitter tips. The brakes were redone, it has disc in front and e-brake cables are hooked up. The fuel tank is painted gloss black. Looking up at the motor it is clean and has a high torque starter. Clean #s matching M20 Muncie 4-speed trans. A rebuilt driveshaft leads back to a Saf-t-track rearend with an aluminum girdle cover.
SERVICE: We inspected this car top to bottom, and it flew through the shop!
I sincerely like everything about this car. It is sharp looking and really in exceptional condition. I love that it is unique, you won't see another like this one. Great list of factory features and documented with Pontiac Historical papers. They have it dialed in from the stance, stripes, wheels etc.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
