Details
This 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo is powered by a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine that has been modified and tuned to produce 400 hp that it sends to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. It has 111,770 miles on the odometer and wears aftermarket Pearl Yellow paint with removable glass t-top roof panels and a gray cloth interior. Standard performance features include “Super HICAS” four-wheel steering and adjustable suspension. This example has been heavily modified with a raft of performance parts including an Ashspec ECU, Z1 intercoolers, JWT Sport 500 turbos, and HKS intakes and exhaust. Power improvements are documented in Dyno test results from 2012. The car rides on 18-inch, 10-spoke staggered Volk Racing wheels and features a custom-mounted Precision Power amplifier and pair of Kicker subwoofers controlled through a flip-out Alpine stereo head unit. This southern car was issued a salvage title in 2007, before the seller’s acquisition and no additional information is available. It was purchased by the seller in 2010 and moved to North Carolina where it has been modified and cared for by Premier Z, one of the most highly regarded Z specialists in the country.
A third-party inspection and detailed photos show the car to have wear and tear that is largely consistent with its age and mileage. There is a dent in the left fender, evidence of repair to the front apron, and various wear to the paint and window trim. Similarly, the interior shows wear on the driver's seat bolster and steering wheel, a separation of the headliner from the roof trim, and a similar separation of the A-pillar trim from the frame. Following a road test, the vehicle was noted to perform as expected with no issues found in the operation of the engine, transmission, steering, or braking. Included with the vehicle are two sets of keys, the original owner's manual, storage bags for the roof panels, and a car cover.

About the model
After the success of the Z31 300ZX Turbo, the Z32-chassis Nissan 300ZX Turbo appeared in 1989 for the 1990 model year with a splash. As compared to the Base Model 300ZX, the twin turbocharged (TT) variant was upgraded with Garrett AiResearch parallel twin-turbochargers and dual intercoolers. It produced 300 bhp (304 PS; 224 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 283 lb·ft (384 N·m) of torque at 3,600 rpm, with power sent to the rear via a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. Although nearly identical to the base model 300ZX, the Turbo 300ZX has a slightly different front spoiler with the inclusion of louvers for additional air flow. The Z32 300ZX Turbo was available in a T-top body style only (removable roof panels) although the JDM version, known as the Z32 Fairlady Z, was available as a coupe or as a T-top. With the exception of the Fairlady Z in Japan where it continued sales until the year 2000, the Z car series went on hiatus from 1997 to 2002, until the 350Z was launched as part of the Z33 generation.
