Up for bidding is the “Bracket Brute” . This vintage race car at was featured in the September 2000 issue of Mustang Illustrated magazine. A copy of the magazine comes with the car as well as a front license plate from when they did the article.

The terror of track could be ready to go in a couple weekends with very little to do to make it race ready.

After the 2019 season it was taken in for numerous upgrades such as; new tubular Mustang 2 front suspension that’s been test fitted to accommodate a big block Ford. New fiberglass doors, new fiberglass racing clip, updated roll cage the body was cleaned up and the door jams were painted teal in preparation for a vehicle wrap. 

The back end is professionally tubbed and the trunk is an aluminum work of art…it’s stunning. It also comes with the original doors shown in the magazine article and race video  (car looks a little different now with the recent work). Car hasn’t been to the track since 

Car is set up for a big block Ford…just ad the engine of your choice and your ready to go racing, it comes with a full rebuilt racing transmission thats never been used and ready to go…it has a 5600 stall racing torque converter. 

It has Weld Wheels on racing slicks, I have numerous bits of chrome, tail lights and misc items that go with the car. 

This car would be the star of the track if you put a Shelby kit on it and then did a nice wrap on it. You could also bring it back to the look it has when the “Bracket Brute” article was done on it, a teal wrap or whatever you like. Lots of options and potential here. 

Fastbacks are just about impossible to find up here in Canada. I had bought this car over the winter and for a time considered putting it back on the street as a restomod.

 However about a month ago a really nice  1969 fastback that i had been chasing became available and so I bought it. That’s why I’m selling it. 

I think this car is best left as a race car and I’ll just drive my 1969. 

If you want to go racing buy the car…do a wrap (or paint it) put your engine in it with the provided rebuilt transmission  and go racing this year for way, way less money.
