Finished in silver metallic over Imola red and black leather, this M Roadie has been driven just over 60,400 original miles since new sporting a superb running 240 horsepower 3.2 liter S52 inline six cylinder Motorsport engine mated to the factory 5 speed manual transmission with stopping power provided by four wheel disc brakes with ABS anti-lock brakes. Other features include heated electric leather seats, electric canvas top, chromed 17" style 40 wheels staggered wheels with excellent Pirelli rubber, limited slip differential, power windows and mirrors, leather M steering wheel, center console-mounted VDO volt and oil temperature gauges, Harman Kardon cassette stereo and factory tonneau cover. This 25 year-old M Roadster is being sold with clean and clear title! THE BODY AND TRIM
The exterior of this 1998 BMW is in VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT rust-free condition overall with a deep lustrous shine to the paint finish and chrome trim. There are a few minor nicks and scratches and some flaking/pitting on the chrome wheels. The rear antenna needs replacement and the canvas top shows some deterioration along the clear plastic window. And......the dreaded rear subframe welds are perfectly crack-free!
THE INTERIOR As is articulated here in the photos, the cockpit of this non-smoker M Roadie is in EXCELLENT TO MINT original condition overall with all systems and controls in excellent working order. Imperfections inside the car include illuminated ABS light [most likely a typical seat belt sensor], some very light wear on the leather and trim. The radio has poor reception doe to inop antenna. This is one clean, comfortable and quite groovy two-tone cockpit!
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This '98 BMW starts easily and runs extremely well with smooth and willing power and strong acceleration, buttery smooth shifting transmission and steering with confidence-inspiring handling and braking. This is one tight, crisp, responsive and ultra satisfying modern classic driving machine!
