Details
This restored 1970 BMW 2800 CS is powered by a carbureted 2.8-liter M30 inline six-cylinder engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The recent restoration concluded with the car being resprayed in white and fitted with a fresh red leather interior. This fine example wears a Nardi steering wheel that frames a four-gauge instrument panel. The car is also equipped with air conditioning and power windows and modified with a modern stereo and Alpina wheels. The odometer reads 3,126 km since the restoration, but the true mileage is unknown. The car is part of a large collection in Miami, Florida that is currently for sale.
The car was photographed and inspected to document its condition. The car shows very well on the exterior, with minor blemishes on the rubber parts of the bumper that are documented in the photos. The cars interior is clean, and the upholstery looks fresh and bright. The photos do show a crack in the dash and a tear in the headliner. The carpets are still bright despite showing some wear on the drivers side. Mechanically, the car is reported to function as intended by the manufacturer. Included in the sale is one key.
