Reimel Motor Cars is excited to present this 1958 AC Bristol with matching numbers. The car boasts a dark blue exterior and black leather interior.

In 1956, an upgraded version of the Ace called the Ace-Bristol was introduced, powered by the Bristol six engine. Initially producing 103 horsepower, the engine was later improved to 125 in its ultimate D2 specification. The Bristol engine was based on BMW's pre-war 328 design and proved to be highly successful in racing until the 1960s. The Ace-Bristol performed exceptionally well in Le Mans, securing a 2nd place finish in class in 1957 and 1958, and winning the class and finishing 7th overall in 1959.

The specific Ace-Bristol mentioned here was first sold to a Canadian named Mr. Gold and came with all available features, including a factory hard-top. Unfortunately, Mr. Gold passed away, and the car was sold by his widow. After changing hands several times, the car was acquired by Kirk F. White of Wayne, Pennsylvania. In 1988, Mr. Moir purchased the car from Mr. White and added it to his collection, where it stayed until his passing.

In 2014, the Bristol was purchased for a personal collection. It was a rare find in a world of over-restored Bristols, with the original motor, transmission, and all of the factory accessories still intact, including the incredibly rare hard top. The body and frame were also in their original condition, just as they were when leaving the factory. It was an irresistible purchase, and it's believed that to this day, it may be the most honest AC Bristol out there.

The car has been well-maintained and has participated in various rallies and tours across the country, including the Colorado Grand. Driving the car is an exceptional experience, with the sound of the D2 engine and the feel of the lightweight body with its four-wheel independent suspension moving around the corners unlike anything else.

The AC Bristol is a remarkable car, with impressive performance and sleek bodywork that brings to mind the contemporary Ferrari Barchettas. It has received acclaim from various magazine testers, including John Bolster of Autosport, who wrote, "The machine performs all the right functions at all times." Bolster also added, "No emergency or advanced driving technique will ever catch it off guard." Additionally, Carol Shelby chose to use this chassis for his Cobra.

It's not being used as much as before, they believe it's time for a new owner to enjoy this fantastic and honest roadster, just as they have.
