Everything works and the engine runs smooth and strong.
Upgrades
Solo Performance Exhaust: MachX 14” Cat-Back system installed.Sounds great, nice throaty rumble without being obnoxious.
Camaro SS Differential: 327 Gear Ratio
HP Tuners: A laptop with the licensed software and adapter is included with the car. I used the software to correct the speedometer after the differential change. Also increased the shift pressure and reduced shift time slightly for the “sport”shift only. No changes were made to the regular shift or engine.
Cold Air Intake
Aeropro Facia Kit (HVAC Controls)
PioneerDMH-1500NEX Radio
Aftermarket Wheels from Tire Rack:
(Tires have about30% tread left) I have the original wheels if you want them but was told by aninstaller that one of them was bent
Dealer Buy-Back aka “The Lemon Law”
This car as listed as a dealer buy-back on the vehicle history report. The previous owner explained that it was due to an intermittent whining/buzzing sound that the dealer could not reproduce or observe. He explained that it was most likely due to buyers' remorse that I believed as the marketing material from 2008,when the car was sold, targeted BMW buyers (I have the sales material and the brochure is included with the car). After owning the car for the first year or so, I did in fact experience the whining/buzzing - it was due to some noise from the rear speakers of the radio and not really a problem at all. The new radio (see above) corrected this.
Minor Accident Reported on Vehicle History Report
There is a minor accident listed on the vehicle history report. Somebody rear ended me hitting the rear bumper, passenger side. The plastic bumper was pushed which I easily popped back out. No airbags were deployed and I was going to let it go but the person who hit me wanted the a police report for insurance reasons I guess. The scratches are visible in the images of the rear bumper. Someone was kind enough to create matching scratches on the drivers side of the bumper while parked.
