ABOUT THE CAR: This MGA belonged to my father who recently died of cancer. He had an MGA when he was in high school but he wrecked it. He always wanted another one so when his friend decided to sell this “project car,” my dad jumped on it. He was convinced that he could get his one running again. Being a guy who never saw a project he couldn’t start and then abandon, my father moved this vehicle into the garage in 1988 where he worked on it for a few months and then moved on to other projects that would also never be finished. I was 16 years old at the time. I am now in my 50's.

This MGA has been sitting in the garage at my parents’ house for the last 36 years. As the decades passed, my mother and I both urged my father to get rid of it but he refused and insisted that he would get it fixed and running someday. When it became apparent that his illness was serious, my mother asked him to transfer ownership to her so that she could have a valid and clear title to the vehicle. He got really angry about that but finally relented. Now that my father has passed, my elderly mother wants this vehicle gone so that she can finally park her car in her own garage. She never wants to see it again or its random parts that sometimes appeared in strange places throughout her home. There are no words to describe how badly my mother despises this car and the inconvenience it has caused her over the last 36 years. She has asked me to take the lead in posting ads and finding someone who wants it.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Nothing is known about the history of this MGA. The man who owned it before my father is also deceased and so is his wife. Based on the inspection sticker, it was last operable in August of 1980. It would require extensive parts, labor, effort, and time to get this car running again. It’s most likely only good for parts. There are no pedals. All the tires are flat and rotten. The primary body parts appear to be in pretty good shape. It will be a team effort to get it out of the garage and down the sloped driveway to the street where it can be loaded on your trailer. I will be happy to help you with this.
