1997 Sl500 Sport Package with 71,500 miles, this is only a 2 owner car. I bought it from the original owner with 60,000 from Marin, California, which was garaged its whole life. Very rare Sport package with heated seats and OEM 18” Monoblock wheels on arguably the best color combo, Black on Black. Most desirable year with the 330 horsepower M119 5.0 liter quad cam engine & 5 speed electronic transmission.
The first owner was a little old lady that scratched the hell out of the paint and rims. In February 2023 the car was dissembled and fully resprayed factory black with 2 stage base coat and clear coat, all rubber seals/trim/badges replaced, color sanded, polished, and 5 year ceramic coated. The paint job looks factory and was $4500 for paint with me dissembling, reassembling, doing half of the polishing and ceramic coating myself to save on costs. The whole paint job would have been $7500 without my labor into it. The wheels were fully machined and resprayed with clear to restore to OEM look/quality with a machined lip ($1,500 job). The car drives smoother with the H&R springs & Bilstein shocks than factory, sounds great, pulls strong and drives just as it should. Corsa Pro rear muffler, sound aggressive, but not too loud. I get compliments on this car almost every time I drive it.
The car has been fully gone through in the last 12 months (7,000 miles) for maintenance including but not limited to: full factory paint disassembly and respray, all new brakes, wheels refinished, new rear tires, full transmission fluid flush & filter, spark plugs, air filters, windshield wipers, coolant change, new bilstein shocks and H&R springs, new mercedes floormats, new hydraulic top cylinder and all little pieces/trim replaced where needed. Brand new Hankoook Ventus V2 rear tires in the last 500 miles.
The car has light and tasteful mods/lowered while still retaining OEM look and quality. Please see last picture for extensive maintenance breakdown.
