I am offering for sale my 1956 Ford Thunderbird Coyote swap project. I have had this car for about 10 years and it has a clear Ohio title in my name. The chassis has been upgraded by a professional chassis shop. (Progressive Automotive) with a new X Member, motor and transmission mounts and completely new independent front suspension with disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. Progressive fabricated and installed the engine and transmission and made sure the body fit. The firewall and the floor had to be cut for a nice fit. exhaust has been run through the X member and a pair of used Flow Masters have been installed. I was waiting to mount the gas tank (which mounts to the body) before finishing the exhaust. The rear end is the factory Dana 44 and it have been disassembled cleaned and rebuilt with new Drum brakes. Brake lines have not been run. The rear springs have been replace with new springs from Eaton Detroit Springs. The drive shaft has not been made or installed.

The engine is a 55K mile 2013 Mustang GT 5.0 Coyote with automatic transmission. I purchased the engine package from The Parts Farm and besides the engine and transmission I have all the wiring harnesses and PCM with PATS deleted from the donor car. Also include was the accelerator pedal, automatic shifter, gauge cluster panel, gas tank, master cylinder with brake booster.
Some, none or all these parts could be incorporated into this build. I bought a engine and transmission wiring harness from Power By The Hour which is a plug and play stand alone harness to make it easy to start the engine and has plugs for the shifter with sport mode the wired accelerator pedal, fuel pump and even a plug for engine diagnoses.  My plan was to use that and separately wire the chassis separate.

I have not done any body work, I concentrated my money and time on getting the chassis and engine installed and starting it. The body has been disassembled and Dustless Blasted. The primer you see is over bare steel. Blasting removed all the years of  dings scraps and armature repairs the car had received. Actually there is no big rust problem for the year of the car. Yes there is some but it looks to be very manageable. Early Thunderbirds are basically unibody cars and the hood does not fit very well because of a bad try to repair some from end damage years ago. The bottom rock guard is bad but I found very nice one and with that as a base and cutting some crappy welds the from end should straighten up. Besides that the drivers side rear quarter panel is damaged. It actually do not look that bad until the Dustless Blasting took all the putty out.

I have boxes full of parts and trim. Some you may want to buy new or used what is there. The car also has a very nice factory hard top and a factory soft top with swing arm. I have a new gas tank with fuel pump for the engine. I have a new windshield also

This project will take some time and effort but will be an awesome car. This would be a great project for a person who is not afraid of some body work. That would save a lot of money on the project.

Please look closely to all the pictures and ask for any other pictures you may want and ask any questions. I have tried to list what I know and wanted to be upfront and honest.

IF YOU NEED THUNDERBIRD PARTS, I WOULD POSSIBLY PART THIS CAR OUT
ONLY IT THE ROLLING CHASSIS SELLS FIRST.

The car and parts will be picked up at my place in Rushville Ohio
