I have up for auction a very nice original patina paint 1957 Chevy Belair 4 door sedan. I was told this is a one family owned car and it is 50,000 documented original miles. Mostly original paint with a little touch up here and there. The car has ZERO rust or rust repairs, and no body damage at all, just thin paint here and there. The undercarriage is dry as a bone with a little surface that a wire wheel would take care of if you wanted to detail it to the original look although I did not want to do that because then people would wonder what it was hiding. The floors and body mounts are super nice. The chrome is all original and very nice for the age, the stainless and trim are what I would call impeccable, their are no dents, no dings and no tarnishing. The interior is 100% original including carpet and headliner and It is very very nice although the carpet does have a few wore spots but remember it is not show quality it is 65 years old and unrestored. The glass is all factory tinted and super nice although the windshield has a minor crack up in the top left-hand corner that don’t interfere with the vision so being it is original I chose to leave it alone. Note in the pictures of the undercarriage it had the original spiral shocks still on it but now are replaced with four brand new ones, and four new tires since that picture was taken. This car is still equipped with its original 235 six cylinder engine numbers matching that is whisper quiet and the original powerglide transmission that operates flawlessly and doesn’t leak like most!  The car probably drives better than it did when it was new with the radial tires now! This is a pretty unusual 57 Belair because it is equipped with the six cylinder and power steering, most were V8’s. This car gets lots of attention and and is a crowd pleaser because it’s very hard to find an original in this condition, like the old saying anyone can own a restored car, but the originals are getting very hard to come by, especially in this condition and with no rust!
