This 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider is special is so many ways - less than 17 seconds, hardtop automatically tucks into the body (see vid), has genuine carbon fiber Vorsteiner package and custom quad wing carbon fiber addition, and has 17k miles. I've been blessed to own a modest car collection with a lot of older classics but also a Ferrari, Alf Romeo, BMW, a few Porsche's, Maserati, and even a Shelby signed GT500KR. All very nice cars but nothing like this McLaren. I'm the third owner (all older adult owned and operated!) and have had her for seven years. I usually do not hold on to a car for this long but every year have said I would sell her, every year I end up eating my words. It is time to get something different (GT3 most likely!). This car continues to creep up the collectors list due to the low production so if you can find one with less than 20k miles and in this shape, it should only go up in value! The MP4-12C's got a bad wrap within the exotic car market due to electrical and a few mechanical issues - this one has been PERFECT, maintained, and has been babied since originally purchased in 2013. Since I've owned it (2017), it has been in the rain only one time.

For some supercar adoring fans, the McLaren may not the Lambo, Ferrari, and other supercar names...but let's be clear: The 12C Spider is one of the fastest and most capable cars ever built, so the problem isn't talent. Rather, the Spider is so good at what it does that it can make speed seem too easy -- as opposed to, say, the classic temperamental supercar that wants to rip your head off. This supercar could be a daily driver - elegant at 25 mph in town or 150 down the interstate! The user-friendly handling, the telepathic dual-clutch transmission and the finely crafted interior makes every owner WANT to drive it daily! With the brilliant adjustable suspension, even the Mercedes & BMW loving ladies would enjoy the comfortable commute on city streets anywhere in the U.S.!

PERFORMANCE: The 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider features a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 that pumps 616 hp and 443 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. The transmission is a dual-clutch seven-speed automated manual with optional manual control paddle shifters. Acceleration is from zero to 60 mph in a fleet 3.2 seconds so hang freaking on! Fuel economy (you won't care!) but it is around 18-19 MPG combined (15 city/23 highway). LAUNCH mode is an absolute blast! Watch the YouTube videos that are out there to give you an idea but nothing is like being in the car when launched!

Safety: Standard safety equipment for the 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider includes antilock disc brakes, six airbags, hill-start assist, and traction and stability control. The Carbon-ceramic brake rotors will stop the car! The Spider also features strengthened steel structures behind the passenger compartment for rollover protection. Alarm system and navigation included.

Driving: The 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider's sound is perfect, in my opinion. McLaren does provide a separate intake sound control that allows you to tailor the engine's volume to your liking. Hit a button to pull the rear glass down and the sound rumble in the cabin gets even better! This McLaren is one of the most gratifying and versatile driver's cars from its incredibly precise steering and racecar-like handling to its compliant suspension and savvy electronic driving aids. The 12C is not a supercar that you will be intimated by - it is just too sophisticated, easy to operate, and drive! It is why so many McLaren owners drive their cars every day!

Interior: Race-inspired touches abound in the MP4-12C Spider's cabin, including a large center-mounted tachometer and a stylish flat-bottom steering wheel. The overall effect is understated and classy, with attention to detail that rivals the best luxury cars: Practically every surface you touch and switch you press feels rich. The standard faux-suede dash resists windscreen glare, while the enveloping sport seats provide firm support for all types of driving while still providing comfort. Most of primary controls are housed in a narrow center stack that is in-between the seats. McLaren has artfully integrated everything into a simple, elegant presentation, with the touchscreen display oriented vertically to maximize available space. The dual-zone climate controls are smartly relocated to the doors, which helps give the center stack its uncluttered appearance. Two-piece contrast stitching on dash ($360 optional upgrade).

As for the Spider's two-piece retractable hardtop, it has a glass rear window that can operate independently, serving as a slide-up wind deflector with the top down and potential extra ventilation with the top up (and can let the pure engine sound come alive!). The front cargo space is big enough for two overnight bags, groceries, and/or shopping bags. (see pics)

The two-passenger, midengined, rear-wheel-drive 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider is a retractable-hardtop convertible offered in one well-equipped trim level. Features on this 12C includes 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels, bi-xenon headlights, power-folding and heated outside mirrors, LED driving lights, an active air brake, an adaptive suspension with three driving modes (automatic, manual w/paddle shifters, and auto/manual mode), an "intake sound generator" with selectable engine-sound levels, cruise control, manually adjustable seats (power height adjustment for the driver), leather and faux-suede upholstery and trim, a 7-inch touchscreen display and a Iris PREMIUM upgraded Meridian audio system $5,040 upgrade option) with Bluetooth streaming audio, navigation, hands-free operation, Internet search, a USB port and iPod integration. The Meridian sound is INCREDIBLE with perfect speaker location throughout the cabin. If you like clear, concise, and even LOUD sound, I've been incredibly impressed with this sound system. I am a music maniac and would rate it in the Top 5 of the 100+ vehicles I've owned.

Test drives are welcomed BUT you must provide a letter of credit from your bank stating you have the funds. No third-party test drives (hiring someone to come test drive it - only actual buyer will be approved to test drive the car with owner present).
Mechanical/engine check are welcomed BUT must be done at an authorized McLaren dealership (ATL is closest). Cost for mechanical check and expenses to get the car to the McLaren dealership will be the responsibility of the buyer.
