My grandpa bought this in 2012 and worked on it an awful lot over the years. The bill of sale from his purchase says it had 4,256 miles on it but he was working on rebuilding absolutely everything and I found that odometer as he had removed it and replaced it with a new one. I have pictures from when he bought it and it's obvious he did a total overhaul on the engine area including a tri-mil exhaust. There's official VW parts as you can see in the photos. He left behind a huge folder of receipts from his work so I can try to answer any questions that you might have. I'd be happy to email pictures of these receipts after pick up if you're interested.

I don't know if it currently runs so it's being sold under the notion that it doesn't. It has clean oil in it but the gas tank is empty. The tires are excellent but the rear ones look a little deflated. The windshield is detached and was kept in the house --  my grandpa smoked in there A LOT so I cleaned it as best as I could but it might still have some residue. Bolts for the windshield are missing.
