Take a look at this nicely optioned 79 Firebird Formula, which was Nocturne Blue, then sky blue and now this rose color. This final coat, believe it or not, is plasticoat. The good news is that it comes off easier than paint. Some of the key features are the W66 Formula package, WS6 Handling, Close Ratio Factory Super T10, 3.08 Posi, Elec windows, locks and trunk, AC (no compressor), Remote mirror, Tilt Wheel, 4 Wheel Disc, Deluxe interior and map light - and several other options listed on the build sheet. There are brand new wheels and tires, brand new driveshaft. I recently installed a nice, semi-period correct Alpine stereo, power amp and 6x9 speakers in the package tray and it sounds great. My focus has been on making it very driveable, saving body and paint for last. This is a 95% rust free car. There is a silver dollar size spot behind the RF wheel well and some rust on the rear vertical panel, below where the tail lights mount. Wheel arches, quarters, floor and trunk are solid - this was a Colorado car for most, maybe all, of its life. The 455 was built in 2011 with 63xxx miles (have paperwork), there are now 81xxx miles on the car, as it sat stored for a long time. The engine runs strong and burns no oil. There is a new alternator and Edelbrock 1411 carb, it has 3 inch duals dumping just before the rear axle. The clutch and tranny work great. Included, but not installed: Holley electric fuel pump and regulator, Additional Gauge Cluster, Front Grill inserts (new), seals for one T-Top (existing seals are actually pretty good) and new door hinges. I just went through the drivers door and rebuilt the window regulator and installed a new door handle. All in all, a great car to take through the rest of a restoration. Low Reserve.
