This car handles exceptionally well in the city and on the highway. It has made me a Lexus fan for life with how it's nearly 150,000 miles into it's lifespan and it is still running like new. The only reason why I'm selling it is that I work in the construction industry and I need a larger vehicle so I can transport equipment to job sites. This car is also extremely safe, even at very high speeds. I once got chased by another car on the freeway late at night on my way home and was able to out maneuver the driver and escape because this Lexus IS 250 was more stable and maneuverable at 115 mph than his SUV. I can tell you the full story if you want. I take pride in what I own so I've done my best to maintain the vehicle well. The timing belt and water pump were replaced after 100,000 miles. I've done regular oil changes. Added high-performance tires. Added a back-up camera, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the alternator, re-upholstered the drivers seat, and replaced the headlight bulbs. Things to be transparent about: If I was in your shoes reading this I would want to know if there was anything I should be aware of before buying this car, so here's my list of what to be know about prior to purchasing this vehicle. There's chipped paint on the front from pebbles on the freeway splashing the front of the car, the speedometer stick light sometimes turns itself off and back on again (this is not a problem during the day, but at night it could take you slightly longer to read what speed you're going), the AUX port doesn't seem to work (I'm not sure if it's the cable I'm using or just the port itself. I've added a bluetooth speaker to the car so I don't ever use the AUX function anyway), when the car sits in the hot sun for a while the rubber on the inside side panels can turn gummy and is prone to scratching (this is just a design flaw with this generation of IS 250's), cosmetic dings/scratches around the car (nothing major and NO structural damage whatsoever).
