Notes:
Everysingle item works perfectly. Literally like a brand-new car. Nothing missingnothing broken.
This cardoes not use any fluids AT ALL! The Oil is always full, and I only topped offthe coolant one time ever last week in 2 years, and it needed literally 3/4 cupof coolant. I bought this car in mid-2020 and cleaned it up and restored to itspresent-day condition and it had 24k miles on it when I bought it. I dove this car about 6k miles a year for 4 years. It was myonly car for 2.5 years. My daily driver. I recently bought a 2024 C300 car and thisS2000 hardly gets driven anymore. This S2000 was ONLY professionally worked onat a speed shop in San Antonio called Precision R. Precision R maintained mylast two S2000’s. Ithink there was some minor body work done to the passenger-side rear quarterpanel that is so minor I could not get it to show in any photos I took. I triedvery hard to show the ripple in the panel but was unable to capture it. You can hardly see it at all even in person. As far as I know, this car shows nosigns of ever been track driven. It runs and feels like a brand-new car. Thiscar was originally garaged but the garage got full about a year ago and the S2got bumped out into the driveway and is covered. I have receipts for most ofthis work and can get back-ups from the places I had work done.
Personalobservations:
This2005 is the only year the S2000 comes with the AP2 (more low RPM torque) engineand is not equipped with anti-slip rear tire assist. Also, it ismy understanding the 2005’s is the only AP2 car without a clutch dampener.Clutch dampeners limit your ability to engage the engine as quickly as you want and feels like a “safety” device. Inmy opinion this limits your ability to obtain the quick response you want fromyour sports car. I really feel like Honda got it perfect with the 2005 model ofall the years it produced the S2000.
Note: Thisis my 3rd S2000; First one bought brand new from dealer in 2006(AP2) and sold in 2010. Second one was a 2001 (AP1) bought in 2013 that had 60kmiles and I sold it in 2018 with about 95K miles on it.
