This car was used during the close-up filming of the 2019 movie Ford vs Ferrari! It was a static display car meaning it was never used for any racing or driving scenes. An iconic scene that you will see the car being shown is when Christian Bale's character Ken Miles was working in the airplane hanger on the car while listening to the radio. We have added photos of that scene in the photo section so go check those out!
FUN FACTS:
This car was the only Ford Powered GT40 in the movie! It was purchased for the movie to be in a few specific static scenes. The plan when it arrived was to paint it a version of Indigo Blue to replicate the original car. When the car arrived on set it had such beautiful paint and was in such amazing condition that they decided they couldn't paint over it! Instead they vinyl wrapped it to replicate the original Indigo Blue color to preserve the paint and still achieve the look they needed! The wrap was done in a way where you can remove just the centerpiece to expose the orange stripe making it Indigo Blue with an orange stripe or you can remove all of it to show off the amazing Gulf Blue and Orange color underneath. All of the graphics that are seen on the Gulf Blue paint have been clear coated over so they are not just stickers that you can peel off. They are apart of the car and fully preserved with clearcoat.
