PROBLEMS:
MAIN ISSUE-oil leak at turbo drain where the AN connector is tapped into the oil pan. I have a new connector that tightens from the inside of the pan but you have to remove the pan to install it. S10’s have welded crossmembers so to pull the pan the engine has to be pulled.
-battery is currently dead but a jump will get it running
-windshield wipers out of alignment after new wiper motor was installed.
-inspection due, didn’t plan on getting a new one until after the turbo kit was installed and perfect.
-the hooker blackheart steering shaft needs to be aligned to correct steering wheel center position
-driver side door pins are worn out (I have new ones)
-tires are old. All but 1 holds air.
-emergency brake cable broken
OTHER INFO:
-this truck had AC, removed it to install the turbo
-I bought the custom turbo kit from someone and gradually replaced parts with better parts during the install to make it flow and work better. I had not gotten to the exhaust piping to shorten the routes though.
-truck had a parasitic power loss that killed a couple batteries. I traced the issue down to being a bad headlight switch and replaced it. At the same time I went ahead and bought a new turn signal switch but didn’t install it.
-resistor installed to turn off automatic headlamps
