Pushing the limits of performance, the BMW M3 CS is a purpose-built machine that places an emphasis on lightweight agility and sheer exhilaration. Under the CFRP hood lies its bespoke high-revving inline 6-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology developed exclusively for the M3. This muscular engine cranks out an impressive 543 horsepower (a 40-horsepower increase over the M3 Competition) along with 479 lb-ft of torque from a low 2,750 RPM all the way to 5,950 RPM while producing 24.7 psi to 30.5 PSI of boost via two mono-scroll turbochargers. A responsive 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, M xDrive all-wheel drive system, and Active M Differential each play an important role in transferring this tremendous power to the tarmac.

Inside the cabin, each aspect has been carefully crafted with the needs of the driver in mind. Continuing the theme of lightweight strength, exclusive M Carbon bucket seats with unique surfaces and stitch patterns provide a blend of comfort and support at high speeds. Other key examples of track-inspired technology found inside the M3 CS include standard M Drive Professional with M Traction Control and M Lap Timer, essential for pushing the limits of the vehicle on closed race circuits.
