Overview

The item currently for sale is our own 1957 Porsche Speedster replica.  The vehicle is in great physical condition, born as a 1967 VW Beetle, it comes in a nardo gray exterior, black perforated vinyl interior with custom tailored dash & gauges, a fully rebuilt & resealed 1600cc engine, 4 speed manual transmission, reconditioned brakes, steering & suspension, and a laminated license that says, look at me rubber neckers!

Overall, this is very a dependable & solid weekend cruiser.  This is one of my favorite vehicles to drive; unfortunately, I have decided to part with some of my personal car collection and sadly, my Speedster needs a good home.  This vehicle also comes with a free & clear State of Florida certificate of title.

Exterior

For starters, the exterior of the vehicle is in great condition.  The color is a non metallic nardo gray used in many Mopar applications...it suits the car very nicely in combination with the black interior.  There are some blemishes, chips and scratches on the paintwork, it is not perfect, but they are minimal and the non metallic gray hides them fairly well.  We installed some very cool bullet mirrors that go well with the look, installed some new speedster emblems, new style LED headlamp assemblies & new lighting throughout the rest of the car.

The drivetrain is also in great running condition.  The 1600cc engine was rebuilt/resealed last year by the previous owner, we have the records and pictures of the work done when I purchased the vehicle...I thought it was a job well done.  The vehicle comes with a brand new Optima red top battery, new Optima D400 battery maintainer, and NOCO battery hold down.  The trans is in great working condition, new clutch, drum brakes work well, steering is tight, the car drives straight, and the suspension was tuned so the car can sit low and not rub.  The wheels are 15x7 sitting on wide 5 hubs, I have the Porsche caps which are included as part of the sale along with a custom made black California Car Cover.

Interior

Upholstery wise, the vehicle is clean.  We cleaned up the seats and door panels which were previously done, we reupholstered the upper door panels armrests, and dash area of the vehicle, we installed proper VDO gauges, installed a new matching MOMO California steering wheel, and rearranged dash switches for better placement.  The ignition switch is now in the factory Porsche location!...I thought it was a tasteful choice.  The convertible top is in great condition and functional as well.  I had my guys remove it as the car is NEVER driven in rain...its a 2 bolt deal, we'll put it back on for the buyer.
