Arguably the most iconic Carroll Shelby cars to date. This is the only Shelby vehicle he designed from scratch, completely on his own! This rare limited production series 1 is #158 of 249 built in 1999 and has only 522 miles! This is being offered from our personal vault collection at Volo Auto Museum where the car has been the past 11 years! Now is your opportunity to own a piece of both Carroll Shelby and Volo Museum History!

EXTERIOR: Finished in centennial silver with maroon optioned stripes. These cars are very distinct yet familiar looking. They have ties to Shelby's favorite cars like the Shelby Cobra, Dodge Viper, and Ford GT40. At first glance you're not sure what kind of car this is but when you take a closer look you see resemblances to those very vehicles. The paint is in excellent shape aside from a couple minor blemishes. There's a light scratch on the passenger side mirror cap and a slight crack in the paint on the driver rear quarter. You really have to look close to find it. The 18" wheels are a unique Shelby 2 piece finished in hyper silver centers with polished aluminum lips. They fit the aggressive stance of the car perfectly. The convertible top is black and a soft top. It is manually raised and lowered and hides nicely under the tonneau cover.

INTERIOR: With only 522 miles the interior is practically spotless. The black/gray combo ties in nicely against the silver paint. The carpet mats are like new as well as the two-tone leather bucket seats. The interior will remind you of some GM cars as Carroll Shelby used spare parts leftover from Pontiac and Buick. It has tilt steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning, monsoon premium stereo, and power windows, locks, and mirrors. On the passenger side of the dash is a numbered series one plaque identifying the authenticity of this car.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Pop the hood and you'll find a very impressive engine bay. The exposed aluminum frame is impressive with the dual wishbone control arms and the high tech inboard over rocker coil over suspension with remote dampening. Jam-packed in the center of all this is the Aurora 4.0L V8 packing a punch of 320HP. It is mated to a ZF 6 speed manual transmission that was exclusively modified to fit these cars! Sitting on top of the engine are very nice carbon fiber covers that add to the appeal of the engine bay!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Although there's no actual trunk compartment, behind the seats is the tonneau cover that can act as a trunk when the convertible top is up. When opened it is shelled out nicely with plastic and has plenty of storage space!

UNDERSIDE: Underneath the car is spotless and impressive! The all aluminum chassis is a sight to see. This car is equipped with 4 wheel independent suspension, dual stainless steel, Borla exhaust with a nice rumble, and 4 wheel disc brakes!

A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum

No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.

Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.

Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately $1500 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
