Thank you for looking at my Auction.
I am offering my Shelby Cobra kit car for sale because I'm getting too old! (Almost 70)
So much fun to drive that my wife actually likes it! Imagine that!
Equipped with a very healthy 302 Cu in V8 coupled to a very smooth manual 5speed.
The rear is a 4 link, triangulated, adjustable suspension with a non posi straight axle.
The frame is Rectangular steel constructed.
ZR rated tires that have probably dated out but are still like new and make the car handle
like a cat.
Shipping arrangements are up to the new buyer to arrange.
Now the story...
My friend called me one day stating that he was responsible to sell this Cobra out of a living estate.
After asking a few questions I realized the living owner had lost his memory several months prior and his wife
didn't even know he had the car,(covered under tarp in one of his abandoned warehouses)
The best she could put together was that her husband had a friend in Vermont with a FORD dealership.
This individual evidently contacted her husband and made a deal to deliver the car to Pa.
It is not known if he ever drove the car. It had 700 miles on the odometer and I have since put 200 very enjoyable
miles on it.
Items in the warehouse were auctioned off prior to my introduction to the car. It is assumed that the "Build manual"
was sold off to an unknown bidder.(probably in a $1 box lot)
My research and the research of my friends that have had a couple of these cars indicate that it was manufactured
by a company that closed in 1999. The name I have is, CLASSIC ROADSTERS LTD. I believe they were in Washington state.
