1971 Plymouth Barracuda

Vehicle Details

Real 1971 Barracuda! I purchased this car in 2022 from the 2nd owner who purchased the car in the 90’s and over the years slowly worked on the car. He had the car painted and undercoated underneath, trunk, and engine bay. He then slowly collected all NOS MOPAR parts and replaced all brake lines, all rear drum hardware, front spindles, bearings, seals, caliper brackets, calipers, Master Cylinder, upper & lower control arms, all new rubber bushings, idler & pitman arm, inner & outer tierods, upper & lower ball joints, torsion bar adjusters, torsion bars, locks & boots, strut rods, all associated nuts & bolts, steering box professionally rebuilt, new nos power steering pump, new 26” radiator, new power steering hoses, new leaf springs with new bushings, new gas tank, and 3/8 stainless fuel line.

In 2008 he found a 440 engine and had it professionally rebuilt along with the original 727 transmission. He also replaced the carpet, recovered front & rear seats, package tray, changed the headliner, and sprayed the original door panels white.

The car is extremely reliable, all the suspension is nice and tight. The brakes work, all the gauges work, headlights, tail lights, turn signals & hazards work. All windows go up and down smoothly. The engine stays cool and even the heat works. It was originally an AC car, but the condenser was removed. The car drives fantastic and can be driven anywhere anytime.

Underneath the car is solid, all the frame rails have zero rust, trunk no rust, front fenders and doors have no rust. The only rust I noticed is by the rear quarter wheel wells both sides. Also there is rust by the driver foot pan (pictured).

This is a fantastic car for someone to enjoy as is and not worry about scratches and dings. Or if you invest $10k in paint and replace the door panels, glass, and weatherstripping this car would easily be valued over $100k!
