This 1956 Packard Executive is unique, exclusive, and rare – with a total production run of only four months (March-June 1956) before the Packard empire began to implode. Exactly 1,748 four-door “Touring Sedans” were built during that time, adding to the exclusivity of this classic cruiser. The Packard Executive was one of the first vehicles designed to target a particular demographic, squarely aimed at upwardly-mobile young executives (hence the model name) and marketed with the tagline “enter the luxury class now – at a modest investment”!! This 1956 Packard Executive features a unique pushbutton 2-speed automatic transmission, and the shifter motor was recently replaced. It retains the original Packard OHC 352 V8, making it a fun & easy car to drive! Over the last year the starter was replaced, along with front & rear brakes plus master cylinder, tires, carpeting, seat covers, and many smaller parts. The brightwork & unique side trim are original, as-is the two-tone paint scheme. The car has been repainted, and while its in great shape overall, both the exterior and interior show minor blemishes consistent with that of a 65 year old classic!! New weatherstripping comes with the car, but has not been installed. The car is originally from California and has no rust. This 1956 Packard Executive is the perfect project for a new owner looking for an exclusive vehicle ready to drive, show, and enjoy now, while adding their touch & style to this awesome vehicle!!
