STK 3837 1964 MG B The British Leyland MGB was a pure two-seater roadster that made much better use of the interior space than the earlier MGA. It also had a better suspension that provided a smoother ride along with a larger engine that furnished better performance. This 2-owner 1964 MGB has been carefully restored. (The owner has historical documentation.) The body was beautifully refinished in MG Black and all chrome is outstanding. Douglas radial tires are mounted on 14" 4-spoke American Racing alloy wheels (5). The interior has been redone and the black vinyl seats may well be the most comfortable MGB buckets around. The dash is fitted with a combination of Jaegar and Smith gauges including a modified '74 MGB electric tachometer. There is also a stunning factory wheel and new black soft top (manual). The five main-bearing 1798cc engine was donated by a '71 MGB and utilizes the original dual carburetor setup. Compression has been increased and it sounds great through the MGB dual-outlet cast iron exhaust system. Cooling requirements are managed by a factory radiator w/flex fan. A fully-synchronized four-speed manual gearbox w/electric overdrive (from the later era '68-'74.MGB) was also installed. A virtually spotless chassis is fitted with rack/pinion steering, manual disc/drum brakes and Spax adjustable gas performance shocks all-around. This handsome 'B' roadster does the famous MG brand proud. - move post-haste. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
