Thanks for stopping by to take a look at one very cool 1970 Mercury Cyclone GT.  We don’t see many of these Cyclones anymore,especially with the 4V Cleveland engine. One of the rarest true Muscle Cars ever, with a mere 1600 ever produced.  A Southern California beauty.  She is very original but carries some updates as well.  Let’s check it out!

Rarity

Muscle cars are drying up fast!  Tens of thousands have been exported. Many have become jewels in vast collections that are never driven and, 30 years ago, many went to the crusher.   Five decades down the road, finding a nice canvas for your art can be tough.  We purchased this Cyclone GT here locally and got to work cleaning her up.  

NASCAR fans will remember that the Mercury Cyclone Spoiler and the Ford Torino Talladega launched the streamliner battle when Cale Yarborough won the Daytona 500 in 1968 in a Woods Brothers Cyclone.

This classic was delivered new in West Covina California and spent its entire life just 9 miles away in Temple City California. She was garaged and has not seen the winter weather that consumed so many of these cars.

This was a very well optioned Cyclone GT.  

• The 351 Cleveland V8, 4V runs excellently. It’s a real M Code car.

• Factory Air Conditioning  (equipped, compressor and condensor in the trunk)

• Automatic Transmission.

• Fresh factory carburetor rebuild (2BBL is not correct for this car but runs great)
