What a car up for sale here! Priced to sell NO RESERVE, 1 bid and the car is yours! Lowest price on ebay for sure! I don't see any other markets this low either. Others that bid under $40k don't even meet the sellers reserve price.
Drives as fast as it looks, no mechanical issues, and you have to look hard to find the cosmetics. People compliment and ask for pictures everywhere.
This was a fantastic intro to super cars for me, it's freaking awesome, great if you want to get into tracking but I never took it to the track myself. Definitely track ready, and I did drive Vail pass over the summer (2023) and realized quickly you can take the advisory speed around curves and double it. Advisory speed 55 MPH you can take at 110 MPH comfortably etc. Frankly you won't be able to resist doing this but obviously I can't recommend you do this at all. Has a nice police/radar/frequency scanner installed that has saved me a few times (allegedly!) I've had her up to 140 mph. Top speed on flat ground realistically is 130, this one is all about the handling.
Soft top only. Garaged for whole life. I drive it on the weekends, so milage is approaching 36,000 miles. Just a little baby.
Car is nearly 20 years old so there are some mostly cosmetic issues. I'll start with the biggest issue, engine light code (P0630) (PCU mismatch or no program) I was told this happens when the car is stored a long time without battery power that the PCU loses its program to the VIN #. I was also told this is easy to fix with a dongle which I have purchased, and the proper app. I tried the free apps but it appears you must buy a $5 app to program. It's worth knowing in case you store the car for a long time. Doesn't effect the driving at ALL, the computer WORKS 100% I drove it nearly 1000 miles like this, and I still drive on the weekends. I will include the dongle in the sale. All gauges, lights etc work, hopefully that is clear in the pictures.
I'm not sure if this problem is related but the security system does not seem quite right. When the alarm is armed, the tach light blinks, but sometimes it blinks while it should be disarmed and sometimes it doesn't blink while it's armed.
BIGGEST reason it is so cheap, because it has a Rebuilt title, i believe was rebuilt in 2017, but was built better if you ask me; it seems they took the opportunity to add the diffuser, spoiler, and oil plug valve (makes for really easy oil change) Scary for some but a lucky way to get such a nice car so cheap! Piece of paper: not so good. The car itself: immaculate! Like I said I've had it for about 1000 miles and never an issue.
See for yourself! Pictures have the VIN, i leave it up to you to pull the carfax etc. Montana title. Legally, the title has no issues. Obviously not stolen.
Clutch is nice and grabby, she really wants to go, and gas is surprisingly stiff and pretty touchy. You won't be racing that much though, a slow cruise through town turns heads! People will be hanging out the window trying to wave. Low bucket seats, you're practically sitting on the road. The roof of the car is about as high as your waist, I bet you could drive under a semi, but I wouldn't try it myself. If you're over 6'5" you're probably going to have a hard time getting in unless you have the top off.
Overall a beautiful car, good, new car smell still, low miles, well maintained, ready to drive and affordable. Oil changed in August, (2023) car has maybe 150 miles since changed. Ready to drive, won't need a service for a while. Wish I had the service records

My YouTube channel has multiple videos on the lotus, including the start up procedure and I'll probably release another video how to remove and store the top. Just started dropping videos on my Ferrari, soon to be up for sale!
