2019 GMC Savana 2500 Cargo
VISIT PHOTO GALLERY

We purchased this 2019 GMC 2500 cargo in 2020 on fleet lease return from Uhaul with 4k miles on it. The van was fully built out at our shop in Colorado including a 5" lift torsion bar IFS 4x4 conversion, raptor paint, custom bumpers, rack, and built interior. The van is fully insulated, looks good, runs and drives very well and has just 32k miles on it at present. It was built custom for a local customer, but the current owner is moving out of the country and is not able to take the van, so it needs to find a new home.

This is one of our earlier 4x4 hi-lift conversions, GM conversion 24, so definitely not super early. We've since re-designed some of the componentry but the van has been in for some of the updates during its' ownership and is still very relevant. If you would like to the van to have every current suspension update we offer it will add significant cost to the sale.

The van drives nice, 4x4 works great, it's very quiet inside, no warning lights on the dash, nothing wet underneath, and we've had it back through the shop to take care of a few details that needed touched up, new front CV axles (hi-travel), new sway bar bushings, fluid checks, tire-pressure reprogramming, etc, and a couple seals.

The owner put about 28k miles on this rig during his travels and took very good care of it. We got to hear a lot of fun stories about the people he met and adventures and we hope you'll find the same.

The interior is perfectly setup for 1 person travel, but the bed will sleep 2 and you could always build a little extender-piece and widen it up. The RB components unit is a flip down convertible bed-couch. It has a heavy duty Packrat type box underneath that the owner used for gun storage. He was a retired FBI agent, no joke.

This is a lightweight setup, it has just the right components, 200w of solar on the roof, 100ah battery, LED dimmable lighting, 110v outlets in and out, some storage here and there, and it's actually just very pretty inside. Everything works as best we know. There's some condensation inside the cooler box, but I don't think that's a big deal. He said he never really needed a fridge, because the cooler worked so well. It has an exhaust/intake fan, scene light for camping, and it's both high enough for ground clearance but still easy to get in and out of. The audio system is fantastic, all new speakers, wiring, and head unit, custom alarm system, etc. The van has never been smoked in, it smells nice inside.

Condition Report

This van is in pretty good shape overall. It has a little wear and tear as to be expected. The raptor held up pretty well, maybe could use a fresh coat if you want it perfect. The bumpers look good, windshield is new, rack held up well, and running boards look nice. There's not really any obvious damage but it has flaws if you're looking for them.

The wheels look good and tires have excellent tread. The rear bumper swingouts work easily and tighten up without shaking going down the road. We have a cover for the winch so it's still in perfect shape. That winch can be moved from the front to the back and has quick-disconnects.

The doors open and close easily, undercarriage has had the paint touched up and looks nice, van has been all over but it hasn't seen a lot of road salt. We don't salt the roads in Colorado.

For wear: the rain gutters have had the paint touched up due to chips, paint doesn't match perfect but you can't really see it. There's a few small scratches about the body, rock chips in the paint, and a few chips in on the passenger door hinges. The fairing on the front of the roof rack is faded, we have a replacement if you want a new one. (They changed designs to one that doesn't fade.)

The roof rack brackets have a little fade, and the side ladder has been stripped and re-painted due to rust. Our powdercoaters at the time weren't sealing stuff correctly, it looks fair. The grille has been wrapped and shows it if you look up close. There's some marks on the back doors where plates were removed during bumper exploration we were doing with this guy at the time. They're obscured by the current setup so it's not a big deal. Point of order, the rear swingarms open all the way on this van, something you won't see on Aluminess bumpers, and they do have quick pull catches that are so much easier to use.

I think most notably 2 things. We don't have a paint code on this color. It's gone missing from the file and the company that mixed the paint changed systems. That's just the way it is. Also, the front lower fender wings behind the tires have some cracks from a time when the torsion bar carriage had an issue and settled, causing tire interference. That's long been fixed 15k miles ago, but the cracks in those pieces remain and really aren't that obvious.

It's a good van, a used van, but a good van, photos show it like it sits.
