We will start off with the exterior of this Convertible. As you walk around it you will notice it has an excellent fit of all the panels. Both doors open and close with an excellent fit, while all the gaps are even as well. Down the sides are laser straight with all the body lines and trim flowing seamlessly from front to back. This body is showcased in the base coat clear coat paint that was done in factory optioned Fiesta Red Color. The paint has a stunning finish as countless hours were spent wet sanding, buffing, and polishing it. We can also see that it features the White convertible top that was redone at the time of the restoration. It is a power-top option, and the top frame is excellent as well. The white is a beautiful complement to the fiesta red paint, and it comes with a red boot cover for when the top is down. All the chrome and stainless on this Ford has a brilliant finish. Both the front and rear bumpers are excellent and feature bumper guards. To finish off the look it's sitting on the 15" wheels with correct wire wheel covers and a set of G78-15 Coker wide white tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Sunliner. On the inside, it's done in a two-tone red and white color scheme that flows perfectly with the exterior color combo. It features red bolster seats with white quilted vinyl inserts. Both the front and rear bench seats are in phenomenal condition with the padding, springs, and covers appearing to have been redone at the time of the restoration. It also has had a new carpet installed at the time of the resto. The sill plates were both replaced as well. Looking at the dash we can see that it was redone in the red and white paint scheme and that it has a beautiful finish as well. The factory gauges are in great condition and are working as they should. This '56 comes with a factory-styled steering wheel and horn button. Inside the trunk is all rock solid from the pans to the jam and it has been finished out with the factory-style jack and the plaid trunk mat.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood, we can see everything has beautiful detail and has been finished out just as beautifully as the rest of the car. The V8 has been upgraded to a 289 V8 that's set up with the Edelbrock Intake and a Holley Four Barrel Carb. It's been dressed out with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. We can see it is equipped with a mechanical fan to keep it cool while you cruise. It's also been upgraded with Power Brakes. The 289 is mated to the C4 Automatic Transmission and the original style rear end with approximately a 3.22 gear. When we look under this Sunliner we can see they did an excellent job with the frame off restoration. The floor pans and frame are all solid and have a gorgeous detail. All new fuel and brake lines were installed along with new body bushings. The suspension is all in great condition and looks to have had new bushings installed at the time of the restoration along with new shocks. Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $1000.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, we will gladly cooperate. You can locate shippers by doing a search for `auto shippers`.
