1966 Chevy Corvair Monza - 110hp, 4 door sedan, hardtop, flat 6, 4 speed manual. Located in Huntingtown MD. Runs and drives, looks great. Only 60k miles, it was kept in a garage for a long time and not driven much until the previous owner restored it.
New carburetors, gas tank, tires, breaks and more. It has been undercoated for rust protection. It has a cover, extra set of wire hub caps, lots of spare parts. Comes with original manual, Clark’s Corvair catalogue. Was inspected 9/23 in Virginia. Clean title, no salvage.
It's a beautiful car, The paint is pretty good for 58 years old but not perfect, there’s a couple chips. Chrome bumper needs a little work but still looks nice.
Lights, horn, signals, wipers, heat, all the basics work. No AC and the radio doesn’t seem to work unless I'm just doing something wrong.
Serious buyers only please, don't expect a brand new car or a show car, it's a classic and fun to drive. Ask me questions or ask for more pictures if you aren't sure. Sold as-is and no returns, buyer responsible for pick-up.
About the Corvair:
The Chevrolet Corvair is a rear-engined, air-cooled compact car manufactured by Chevrolet in two generations between 1960–1969. Total production was approximately 1.8 million vehicles from 1960 until 1969.
The name "Corvair" was first applied in 1954 to a Corvette-based concept with a hardtop fastback-styled roof, part of the Motorama traveling exhibition. When applied to the production models, the "air" part referenced the engine's cooling system.
Today the Corvair has a devoted following among owners and collectors as average prices for Corvairs from any year have reached an all-time high.
