Running Condition

My Camaro runs and drives amazing. I take care of her and she takes care of me whether I’m going 6 miles or 200 miles round trip. This car has not let me down but surprised me with the will-power it has after all these years. The heads & crank do have the Z/28 numbers that were verified to me by the previous owner when I purchased the car. The transmission shifts nicely and down shifts with aggression to make the pass. This Camaro wants to hook & go with the posi rear end. I believe the rear end may have 4.11 gears 65mph @ about 3350 RPM on a 245/60/15 tire.

Lighting

The guys at Dapper Lighting really outdid themselves with their bulbs on this car for headlights, Turn Signals, Side Markers, Rear Tail Lights, Reverse Lights, and Interior Lights. Any time of day this car is visible with sequential turn signal Halo Lights. The Headlights are a brand new retrofit, the RS lights, side markers, and interior dome are new aftermarket that fit surprisingly well. The tail lights are mint original 1970 RS taillights that I had acquired some time ago looking for the perfect car to put them on.

Body & Paint

This Camaro is a very nice daily driver getting noticed anywhere and everywhere. The original paint is Mulsanne Blue and was changed in the 90s by the prior owner during his restoration. This Camaro is an Original RS Camaro. I do not know if it is an original Z/28. The original hood unfortunately was cut to add the fiberglass scoop and the lines in my opinion were horrible and I made the decision to correct the carburetor spacer height as well as configure an appropriate air cleaner to add the minimal cowl hood of 2” and it sits and looks so much nicer in my opinion and the opinion of everyone else who has seen the car. This car is 100% rust free. This car has Zero Bondo. The only imperfections I have found are drill holes behind the rear seat from exhaust hangers with self tapper screws.

Interior

Modern Reliability starts with the beautiful display of the Dakota Digital RTX gauges giving the original gauge look with the LED display and color options. The cigarette lighter port has been removed and replaced with a touch sensitive 3 Port Charger to charge your phones, tablets,

laptops, & any other device with fast speeds. The Deluxe Door Panels are rebuilt panels by Shaun Bockman, a well known enthusiast within the Camaro community. The dash assembly & center console are new and complete. The original 1970 lower dash piece was retained without the “fasten seatbelt” light for maximum originality. This tasteful upgrade was needed for the Vintage Air Conditioning System. The rear view mirror also is a modern dash cam mirror with real time recording when the vehicle is driving or not with the included rear camera that can do the same for the rear of the car. The Camaro also Has Apple CarPlay via Pioneer 10.1” top of the line Floating Stereo with Alexa. Connected to a Pioneer 5 Channel Amplifier music is played from 2 4x6 Punch Series Rockford Fosgates, 2 6x9 3-Way Power Series Rockford Fosgate Speakers, modern 3-Way 4x10 center dash speaker, & 2 Pioneer 10” subwoofers. The Camaro has been insulated with Dynamat Extreme insulation keeping road noise & heat out with the tunes in. The rear deck lid is a new REM Deluxe interior replacement also insulated underneath with Dynamat. All screws are new chrome factory replacements. The window tint is ceramic 3M consisted of 40% Windshield, 5% doors & rear glass. The headliner is nice and not sagging. The rear sail panels are new Parts Place brand, lower panels are the original 1970 panels to the car. The trunk mat fits nicely and adds an extra layer of insulation for clean and crisp bass, reduced heat, and attractive trunk aesthetic. The carpet is new aftermarket ACC carpet but does not fit to my liking and have not gotten around to redoing it. The seats are original deluxe cloth seats without tears, holes, or odors.

Suspension, Trunk & Undercarriage

Energy Suspension bushings have been recently replaced including, Leaf Spring Seats, Body Bushings, Front Sway Bar, & End Links. This Camaro cruises nicely down the highway with the new shocks and bushings. The trunk & undercarriage are no exception to the rest of this California car, clean sturdy panels 100% rust-free, and accident free.

Glass, Chrome & Weatherstriping

All of the glass is in good condition with no cracks. The chrome shines well and looks terrific. All weather seals are new SoffSeal brand products.
