We are proud to offer this 1965 Austin Cooper S finished in Tartan Red and powered by a 1.3 Liter inline-four cylinder engine, paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. According to its Certificate from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, This car was assembled on March 17th, 1965 with in its current configuration bound for Minneapolis, MN. This particular Mini was then purchased new by a Des Moines, IA resident where it was driven in Hillclimbs at Greenwood Roadways between 1965-1968, raced in SCCA events, and was clocked at 126 MPH at Elkhart Lake. It was sold to its second owner in 1976 and he returned the car back to street condition, and enjoyed it. It has since been restored to its factory conditions (besides wheels, steering wheel, stone guards, and headlights). It has been an Iowa car its entire life and is now on the public market for the very first time. Boasting its original chassis, and engine as described on the certificate, this car is a well-kept and historic version of the famous Mini. Call or email with any questions! This stunning Mini is ready for new ownership!
