1985 Alfa Romeo 75.1.6 IE These cars were never brought into the states and are pretty rare even standard
This car was purchased by myself while on holiday in Europe, from my cousin who had it from new and had the motor rebuilt at
100000 miles. The car now has 108000 so it has covered a mere 8000 miles since rebuild of original motor.
It was and is in excellent condition. After I purchased it i serviced it completely, did prop shaft, brakes, bushes, swingarms and many other items to make it run perfectly, all at considerable cost.
I later decided to turn it into an IMSA race car as I always loved that series in the eighties.
After much searching and chasing I managed to find and purchase one of the last super elusive and expensive Widebody kits from Italy and commissioned a very well respected and professional body shop to install it on the car.
I won’t go into the exact specifics except to say it took one year and an exorbitant amount to complete.( I have all photos of the process)
An amazing job was done with an extreme amount of effort being put into the vehicle which was repainted in it’s original color which was great to begin with but had to be done again after fitment of the wide body. It is perfect.
A new set of wheels and tires I personally liked was purchased and spaced to fit the vehicle (The original wheels with new tires pictured will be included).A set of bucket seats was also purchased from a late model Alfa
My best friend there,a well respected Alfa Mechanic and racer was to do the Rollcage, engine, exhaust, and suspension conversion as per IMSA spec but he was sadly seriously injured recently and cannot proceed with this.
The car has cost me a serious amount of effort and money to get to where it is now.
I have decided to import it to the US and it should be here in a couple of months.
IMSA race cars are rarely for sale worldwide and when they come up they are in excess of 300k.
Everything is available mechanically in Europe to achieve this.
I’ve done my homework in depth on this. The new owner can ether decide to proceed with full conversion or keep it as is and drive it just for the shock value. It’s almost impossible to find another car like this.
An incredible opportunity for an Alfa lover. I will guarantee clean transferable US title to the buyer. Any queries, please reach out and I will clarify. I have imported many classic cars and motorcycles and know the process very well.
Please do not look at the Vin as I have put my Alfa spiders Vin so that ebay can allow me to list it for now.
The cars correct European vin is ZAR16200006214172.
