What we have here is a 1956 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Starfire Convertible with 72,402 on the odometer (is more likely 172,402 real miles).  Finished in a two-tone blue and white, this color combination is carried through to the interior with matching blue carpet, all of which we find in good condition.  The convertible roof is also white and in good condition.

The car comes with the Oldsmobile Rocket V8 motor coupled to a Hydro-matic transmission.  It has PS, PB, PW, an Auto Dimmer for the lights and a Power Top.  The car runs and drives well but has a few issues that need attention.  Currently the power top can be operated manually only, also, the photo's of the trunk area show rust damage that needs to be addressed immediately. The reality of this car is that it can be driven today and enjoyed for the summer and then worked on and restored in the winter months.

These are truly desirable vehicle and they are few and far between, and even then come in various conditions - it is estimated that there are about 200 1956 convertibles left at this time.  This is a car that can be driven today but that can be worked on to bring it back to perfection in your own time,
