Gorgeous all steel body with show quality paint, subtle Von Dutch pin stripping, and ’35 Chrysler front grill! Just the right amount of V8 power, disc brakes, and automatic transmission! A real attention getter on the streets and classic car events!
Ford’s Model T and A have proven themselves time and time again to be quite the platform for hot rodders. They are simple to restore, affordable to work on, and are almost infinitely customizable. The nearly endless array of possibilities and with almost 20,000,000 combined Ts and As produced, they are common for hot rodders to work their magic on!
We are very excited to present this 1931 Ford Model A 5-Window Coupe hot rod! The all steel body is finished in a menacing shade of Gloss Black with hand-laid white and red pin striping, this car certainly has the ability to turn heads! The car has a custom red and black vinyl interior that continues upon the theme of the exterior. The car is powered by a Chevy 305 crate motor with simulated triple Rochester 2-Jet carburetion mated to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission and Chevy S10 rear end. Hiding behind the shortened ’35 Chrysler front end, the suspension set-up has been well thought out with a channeled and boxed frame, 6-inch front drop axle, finned rail moldings, front disc brakes and full tubular steering components. The car has all-new hardware and shocks that help this hot rod ride better than most. The car is fitted with a plethora of neat options including: visor, driver side-view mirror, alcantara-like headliner, billet instrument bezel with Classic instruments gauges (speedo/odometer and fuel/oil/temp/volts), illuminated turn signal/flasher stalk, silver sliver rear-view mirror, original style pop-out windshield, chrome door/trunk handles and a fancy Kenwood KDC-248U head unit with twin Boston S65 speakers and remote. The car rides on red steel wheels with “V8” hubcaps and trim rings and wrapped in Coker Classic tires, 5.60-15 in front and L78-15 in the rear.
The fully exposed motor of this car has a tremendous amount of dress-up including finned aluminum valve covers and air cleaners, aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, Hooker Super Competition headers, Wolo Wolf Whistle, full dual exhaust with H-pipe and resonators and chrome tips, Mallory magnetic breaker-less electric ignition, high-performance wires, electric cooling fan, aluminum radiator, chrome alternator cover, expansion tank and radiator piping, billet “oil” cap and pulleys, polished oil pan, transmission oil cooler and stainless steel brake lines. The red/black vinyl interior is kept cool with the assistance of full tinted windows. The car has a stainless steel fuel tank mounted discreetly in the trunk to add to the sinister appearance. You don’t have to look for too long to discover that this was not a garage-built hot rod but was done by people who knew the craft.
The car has only 23 miles since it has been finished and has been primarily a display piece in the previous owner’s southern Missouri collection. It needs absolutely nothing before hitting the mean streets with its next owner. All paint, chrome and polished surfaces are perfected to a mirror-like shine and the car is certainly not for the shy! We would welcome any additional questions on this beautiful like-new 5-Window; please don’t hesitate to ask! Thanks for looking!
