Quite possibly the ultimate culmination of six generations of America’s sports car, this world class Corvette is a great example of what happens when top-notch technique meets first-rate componentry. completely devoid of character, like so many traditional, era restorations, this road-ready convertible is an exhilarating combination of retro glitz and modern glam. Appearing both solemn and official, its Rally Red paint reflects an excellent shine that literally glows when crouched under the sun. That modern two-stage covers a clean body, which displays no sign of botched repairs or historic damage. The body’s razor-sharp fenders appear completely free of major sanding and harsh surface treatment. And the result is one stunning, arrow-straight showpiece that has no issues, suffers no thin spots and displays a level of finish that’s worlds above assembly line days.
The great thing about building a custom Pro Touring C2 is: the aggressive look most enthusiasts strive for is pretty much standard factory fare. At the front of this striking Sting Ray, a body-width grille is caged between rally side pipes that give an incredible rumble, chrome-trimmed parking lamps and a traditional razor blade bumper. Above that grille, an aggressive Stinger Hood frames a brilliant black stripe in famous “Fuel Injection” emblems. Behind that hood, stainless trim and mirrors shape factory-tint glass. Below that glass, simple heat extractors ride between chrome door handles. And behind those guards, four traditional tail lights a chrome-trimmed fuel filler and a familiar “Corvette STING RAY” emblem.
But now it’s time to get serious. LS1 Engine 400hp - 400 lb./ft. and a 6-Speed Transmission rumbling beneath this car’s hood is a technological testament! A perfect amount of oxygen flows from a Spectre reusable filter element through a polished air tube to a familiar GM throttle body. Suspension and frame upgraded to C4 corvette front and rear suspension, Brakes upgraded to C6 front brakes and QA1 adjustable coil overs. GTS widened rear quarters installed to allow for wider rear wheel stance. Items like an aluminum radiator, Taylor plug wires and an electric puller fan ensure rocket-like acceleration. Custom Carbon Fibre Shield And polished hardware enhance traditionally conservative aesthetics. Power flows through mirrored, Z06-style wheels, which spin 245/45ZR17 ZRs in front of 245/45ZR18 ZRs. And everything, from this Corvette’s steel brake hoses to its custom tire tub, is expertly finished, superbly detailed and ready for action.
Open this C2’s doors and you’ll find a plush red interior that’s founded on Stinger Roadkill sound-damping. We do our best to recondition the vehicle to "like new" status, but there may be rock chips that have been professionally touched up and scratches that have been wet sanded. If upon personal and/or authorized professional inspection of the eBay purchased vehicle at our facility, the buyer finds a substantial discrepancy between the published report and actual vehicle, we will either correct the problem at no charge, work out a compromise, or refund all monies paid. Returns are allowed in the unlikely event the vehicle is shipped and you are disastisfied. However, a 10% restocking fee applies, the return must take place within 7 days from receipt and the vehicle must have fewer than 200 miles difference upon return.
