2000 Volkswagen Beetle GLS TDI

This is a beautiful and well cared for VW TDI. It is a GLS model with power windows, locks, and mirrors. It has the fuel efficient and reliable ALH TDI engine and automatic transmission. The previous owner replaced the cloth seats with two leather seats and added the heated seat option. They also recovered the door panels.

This car is a two owner vehicle that was manufactured in May of 2000 and has lived in central Virginia its entire life. There are no accident indicators on the vehicle history report and no other problems to report. This car has obviously been well cared for by the previous owners.

Mechanically this car is in excellent condition with recent service and fluid changes. The engine starts are runs well. There are no warning lights illuminated. The tires and brakes are good. The timing belt has been replaced but we do not have the receipts for it. It is obviously fairly new. We did change the transmission fluid and filter and had it Virginia state inspected. The air conditioning blows cold. There are no leaks or rust under this car. This car is ready to drive anywhere.

Cosmetically this car is in excellent condition as well. There are no noticable dings or scratches. There are a few scuffs on the wheel covers as you can see in the pictures. The interior is very clean with no smoke or other odor problems. We do have two keys/remotes, owners manuals, window sticker, and floor mats. The only thing that doesn't work as far as I can tell is the fuel fill door latch doesn't latch.

Please be aware that you are bidding on a used vehicle. There may be light scratches, rock chips, or other normal wear and tear visible on the vehicle. Although we do our best to accurately describe each vehicle that we list, we will occasionally miss something. We will point out any defect that is not normal wear and tear. If possible we will take a picture of it so that you can see it better. Sometimes owners manuals, floormats, and extra sets of keys will be missing. Please feel free to contact us with requests for more pictures of specific areas. The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 7 days of Auction end. We accept paypal for the deposit, but not for the remainder of the balance due. We prefer bank to bank wire transfers, bank drafts or cashiers checks for the balance. We will accept personal and business checks but the checks must clear both banks before vehicle and title are released (usually 7-10 days) We also accept loan checks from your bank, credit union, or from online lenders. Your trade-ins are also welcome. Please contact us before the end of the auction if you wish to trade a vehicle. We will not trade vehicles that have salvage or flood history or odometer problems. If no contact is made within 24 hours, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Please arrange financing prior to bidding. We will be happy to provide your lender with any information they might require.

Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a shipping service, we can help arrange the pickup and delivery. We service and inspect every vehicle in our own shop and then thoroughly detail each vehicle. Every vehicle then passes a rigorous Virginia State Inspection by an independent mechanic. We try to describe the vehicles as completely as possible, however if you have any questions, do not hesitate to call or email us.

Honesty and integrity are very important to us. You are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle in person before the close of the auction, or have an inspection service to do it for you. Please call before you come as we are sometimes out of the office or have the vehicle at a different location. You are welcome to drive the vehicle before you make final payment. This is only available if you come to our location to pick up the vehicle.
