We have this nice Eldorado Biarritz Convertible to offer this week. I bought this car back in 1998. It's been in my personal collection since. It's finished in a sable black with a matching top and dark carmine leather interior. A beautiful color combination and rare.
The exterior is good condition. The paint is bright but a tad hazy in a few areas. The paint has some checking as shown. Very common with the 80's cars. It has some scratches and a few paint chips. The hood has a few rust marks. It will needs new fillers in the future. These can be found on Ebay. There are a few marks as shown. There are no dents to be found. The chrome looks okay. A new coat of paint would make this car stunning again.
The convertible top was replaced back in 1999 but does show some wear on the edges as pictured. The undercarriage looks good. The bottoms of the doors have alittle rust/rot.
The interior is good condition. The seats are soft and so very comfortable especially for long rides. The rear seat looks good. The driver's seat shows wear and has a few tears on the lower cushion. The passenger seat shows minor wear. The door panels both looks great but they each have a small tear. The headliner looks very good. The dash pad has cracks. Comes with the owner's manual.
This Cadillac is fully loaded. Options auto dimming, power passenger recliner, digital dash, smphony sound, and twilight sentinel.
It comes with matching tires that are showing 75% tread.
Everything works except the antenna. The A/C was working when I was using it. I'll charge it and it should be fine. The rear windows were very slow the day I did the pictures. I'll try to get them working better before delivery.
The winshield is cracked on the lower left.
It's equipped with the peppy 4.1 litre V8. This car runs and drivers very good. It shifts as it should and the brakes are firm and responsive. We did notice a light exhaust leak up front. This car has been sitting a few years now and may need some freshening up before daily use.
When I bought it I was told the motor had just been replace with a brand new GM unit. I have no paperwork to back this up but after looking this car over Im a 100% sure it was done. Ive done a lot to this car over the years. Tune up, brakes all around, tires back in 04, new top pistions, rear radio speakers, fuel pump, fuel tank, radiator, and battery. I know Im a few others
This Eldorado is one rare find. Only 200 black convertibles were made in 1985. I hate to let it go but it shouldn't be sitting. I hope it goes to someone that will enjoy it like I did. These vehicles are USED vehicles and are not new. Please expect a certain amount of wear, use, and flaws, as is standard on ANY used car. All used cars including this one may have dings, nicks, chips, scratches and any other marks that are associated with use consistent with age and mileage of the vehicle. Obviously, a car that is 10 years old will show more wear and have more flaws than one that is 2 years old. Most cars are sold at wholesale prices, many way below book prices. Therefore, there is minimum profit (especially on no reserve auctions) at best, and as such we can not afford to warranty the vehicle as if you had purchased it for full list price. We strongly recommend that all buyers purchase the optional extended warranty (available on most, but not all cars). This will help defray the cost of mechanical repairs, if any, in the future.
Remember some of these cars are near a decade old and they may be new to you, but that doesn't change the fact that they are used cars and repairs can be needed at any time regardless of how short a time period you have owned the car. While we try to service any known defects it is still possible for used vehicles to need service or repairs the first days or weeks of ownership. NOT likely, but possible! Since these vehicles are used, please remember that books, extra keys, remote entry keys, CD cartridges, etc..., do not always remain with vehicles throughout their life. We will not be responsible for these minor accessories. These items are all replaceable at any local factory dealer or right here on eBay for a few dollars.
