If you think about the Range Rover Classic, you know that it was a leader in many ways as soon as they left the assembly line in 1970.  In 1995, the last year of the “Range Rover Classic,” 25 years of refinement make it arguably the best of them all – fully updated and appointed while maintaining all the heritage of its 1970’s roots.  I am pleased to offer another wonderful Example RRC which captures all of this!

Overall condition:

 

Clean clean clean!  Many of you who are east of the Rockies will no doubt appreciate the integrity of a truck preserved from the elements.  The interior sparkles and full surround captains seating is nearly flawless with the only seat wear present is minimal – like on your favorite baseball glove (passenger front only).   Additionally, the premium Harmon Kardon foot panel speaker covers are totally intact – which says a lot about how gently this vehicle was used.  If you’re lucky enough to even see them present on a vehicle, they’re usually smashed.  I mention all of the little details because it’s an important distinction about how this vehicle was cared for and it separates it from the rest.  The wood work has been restored to show condition – again, the little details that make this one a beauty.  As if that wasn’t enough, the new owner will enjoy a freshly installed headliner that is free of any past-life residue – truly creating that ‘new car’ feel.  The exterior speaks for itself!  This vehicle shows proudly and even boasts a full set of genuine factory lamp guards.  Any wear is minimal and I invite you to zoom in on the provided pictures to inspect anything and everything.

 

COACHWORK AND CHASSIS:

Many of you know, the 1995 Range Rover Classic was the last year of the body style that resembled the inaugural Range Rover which rolled out of England in 1970.  Additionally, this is the long wheel-base model that affords an extra 8” of passenger room making travel a pleasure for both passengers and driver!  While claiming every last bit of Range Rover heritage, it is fully modernized and updated mechanically, as well as on the inside, making it truly the last and the best of its kind.  That said, the leather is amazingly soft and resembles the comfort of your favorite leather coat without any new.  All original load-space components are intact and the controls and instruments illuminate properly.

The paint is in OUTSTANDING condition – run your finger over it and its smooth – the tell tale signature of a pampered car.  And as if all that wasn’t enough, this vehicle boasts a freshly installed headliner that absolutely creates that “new car” feel.

First time Range Rover buyers all make inquiries about what most desire as standard features in all cars.  Well, the Range Rover actually led the way as the first SUV to have full four wheel traction control as a standard feature, disk brakes all around and one of the most powerful ABS systems available manufactured by the same company that equips most of Europe's hi speed commuter trains.  Dual airbags are standard as is the dual climate control function.  Features unavailable in new cars today can still be found here like memory and heated seating, memory side view mirrors, auto dimming rear-view mirror with courtesy map lamps as well as plush captain’s seating for all passengers.

 

 

Drivability and Operation:

 

Turn the ignition key and you’ll instantly feel the difference that only a Low LOW mileage (67,900) Range Rover makes!  Place the drive selector into “D” -  step on the accelerator and the powerful serpentine driven 4.2 V8 propels you forward with total ease and confidence.  With that in mind, all of the accessories and amenities in this vehicle work perfectly.  Some of you may enjoy the operation of the memory driver’s seating – ideal if shared with a spouse.  Others may no doubt enjoy the expansive cabin space. With safety in mind, everyone will appreciate the road manners of its powerful ABS system and traction control.

  The acceleration is confident from city to highway driving experience.  Maneuverability is near effortless as the power steering system works in like-new condition. 

 

Mechanical Integrity:

 

As mentioned, it’s all in the details with this particular vehicle.  Meticulously serviced, the most recent includes a FULL DRIVE-LINE fluid change including: engine oil and filter, transmission, transfer case, differential, front swivels and lubricated drive-shafts.  This is a service that is close to $700 at a local dealership and you will no doubt appreciate it having been done if you’re planning on driving this baby home.  On that note, it has an New set of 235/70/r16’s ; further, the ABS and Traction Control system operate powerfully and flawlessly.
