CARFAX explanation
At Cotroneo Auto Group we utilize the same resources as a Dealer that you are provided as the consumer. In the past few years TADA requested that CARFAX begin grading both incidents/damage and accidents with more accuracy to be fair to the vehicles in question which began in early 2013. They now have trained the Police municipalities how to grade an incident whether major or simply minor cosmetic damage. Minor cosmetic damage usually applies to bumper only damage. We occasionally will acquire a vehicle showing minor damage in CARFAX. Upon arrival it goes through a thorough inspection to insure nothing has compromised the integrity of the vehicle. In addition to the inspection we obtained the report from the Miami Dade Police department showing a 5 mph collision involving only cosmetic rear bumper damage.
