In commemoration of the original number of ZL-1 COPO Camaros made in 1969, Chevrolet re-launched a limited run of 69 COPO Camaros in 2012 as factory drag-racing cars designed for NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes. To meet strict safety regulations to compete at 9-second 1/4mile times, all COPOs come standard with a solid rear axle, a full chrome moly roll cage, removal of sound deadening and power accessories, 2 racing bucket seats (no rear seat), a safety harness for the driver, competition floor shifter, Chevrolet Performance gauges, Bogart racing wheels, and Hoosier full slick racing tires.
