DESCRIPTION:
PLEASE only bid if you plan to complete the purchase
You are bidding on a 1972 BMW 2002 "Roundie"
Coupe. This is a great running car, it has a 4 speed manual transmission that
shifts smooth. The engine starts right up and runs great, there is not any smoke
or knocks/pings, it sounds great. A lot of work has just been done to this car
over the winter to get it ready for summer driving. The following have been
replaced. Spark plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, Distributor, Water Pump, Thermostat,
Upgraded Aluminum Radiator and electric cooling fan (runs cool), Head Gasket,
tie rods, ball joints,Upper Strut Mounts, New Weber Carburetor. Upgraded to electric fuel pump. Modern stereo has been installed and speakers were put under the rear seat area.
The tires are like new with over 95% of the tread
left on them. The rims are also new as well.
The Body is in good condition, it was at some point
painted red, the original color is Colorado Orange and could be easily taken
back to that color since all of the jambs and trunk area still has that color.
There are a couple of small rust spots bubbling through the paint and if you did a repaint I would
get them fixed. The shock towers are in great condition, no rust. However, under
the spare tire there are a couple spots it has rusted through, (very common). The fender flares are fiberglass and the rear drivers side is damaged as shown in the pictures.
The rest of the interior is decent. The front seats need to be redone but are useable, I will include the faux sheepskin. The dash is in really good condition with
only a few minor cracks. The headliner is good. Carpet also could be redone. All
of the lights and electrical work on the car.
Overall this car is a great daily driver and very
fun to drive.
